Daring to See a Future, Even When the World Hurts
There is so much that feels broken right now.
Not in a distant way, but close. Painfully close.
When what unfolds in positions of power feels deeply wrong, when people are treated as disposable, when wars continue without end - the future can start to feel less like a promise and more like an empty word.
I don’t believe we are meant to be strong all the time.
And I don’t believe hope means looking away from what is broken.
For me, hope right now is something much smaller.
It is getting up in the morning.
Taking care of the body when the soul feels tired.
Lighting a candle, drinking coffee slowly, creating something beautiful - even when the world doesn’t seem to deserve it.
To allow myself to think: maybe there is still something ahead.
Not because everything will be okay.
But because life is still happening here. Within us.
I don’t know what the future looks like. None of us do.
But I know that love, care, and presence still exist.
And sometimes, holding onto that is enough.
If you are reading this and feeling exhausted by the world: you are not alone.
We carry this together, even when we can barely carry ourselves.
